International Water Film festival and Karnataka Youth International Short Film Festival 2022! Here are the winners

Mysuru: Filmaholic Foundation, an NGO based in Bengaluru had organised the third International Water Film festival and Karnataka Youth International Short Film Festival 2022 on May 22 at Natana Rangashale Mysuru.
Aiming at supporting the budding artists in the field of art and entertainment, the foundation had invited artists to submit their Short films online. Hundreds of entries were received from various parts of the world and 24 short films and four water films were shortlisted. The nominations were screened during the festival.
The Filmaholic Foundation team inaugurated the event by watering the holy tulsi plant.
The event then proceeded towards the screening of the award winning short films and documentaries. Later, workshop and panel discussions were organised where the session was open for interaction with the audience and students of Journalism and Mass Communication.
The audience interacted with Darshan Shivaram, M G Narayan Kharade and Yashvanth Radha Krishnan.
The valedictory began with lighting of the lamp and paying homage to late actor Dr Puneeth Rajkumar. The event then proceeded towards the award ceremony.
Under the category of short films, Best Director (Female) was awarded to Maya Perusin Mysorekar from An Enchanted Fight, Best Comedian to Suvin Shetty from Bangude, Best Editor to Deepak S Dwarknath from Bimbam, Best Actor to Abhishek Ramdas from Dear Love, Best Music Album to Pratheyak R Sagar from Gangster Music Video, Jury Award of Recognition to Vijay Krishna Udupi from Garbhagudiyole Iruve, Best Animation was awarded to Luiz Màxima from The Author, Best Producer was awarded to Susmita Sameera from Ikshana, Best First – time Filmmaker was awarded to Shankar Desh from Kanyakumari, Best Film (International) Muhammed Ashaharsha from Binocular, Best Music Director to Wraith V from Pre-mortem, Best Actress to Gouthami Jadhav from Puppets, Best Student Film was bestowed to Vishnu V Raman from Pushpa Lodge, Best Web Series, Pedro Verdhen Perez from Toilet Talks – The New Girl, Best Film ( Youth Category ) Puneeth Heggadde, Adarsh R Udupi from Maayikathe, Best Director ( Male ) Krishna Herle from Mrugaya Vihaara, Best Child Actor Chethan Srinath from Nanu Matthu Gowri, Best Screenplay Surya Kumar Arumugam from Manam, Best Cinematographer Deepak Ram from The Last Time I Saw The Moon, Best Film ( Regional ) Raghu Raghava from Alegalu Helida Kathe, Best Experimental Film Balasubramanian Shanmugakumar from The Native Joker, Best Dialogues Shashi Kumar V from Aditi Krishnamurthy, Best Film with Social Message Phani Srivatsa from Vishesha Prakatane ( Special Announcement ) and Jury Special Manikanta V K from The Arrival of Factories.
Under the category of Water films, Best Animation Film was awarded to Anna Beata Baranska from Give Me Water, Please, Best Documentary Film to Maya Chandra from The Krishna Cosmic Circle of Life, Best Short Film to Prateek Shastri from Stupid Story, Silly Lad, Special Jury Mention Devendra Kumar Chopra from Pani – The Quest of Life.

Uday Kumar C, Gowrav Sudha Murli and Thejaswini H P hosted the event. Harshita performed the music concert, The duo Meghana and Lasya performed Bharatanatyam and Chritites Arsha, Anu Mariya Sabu and Abhinaya performed dance for the fusion songs as well there was a performance from SS Dance Academy for fusion songs during the Award ceremony.
Mass media students from Christ College Mysuru and Manasagangotri were the interns for the event.
