International Day of Yoga 2022, Sadhguru’s visit: 10,000 rooms full in Mysuru hotels

Mysuru: The hospitality industry is all smiles with the rooms in almost all the hotels near to their full capacity.
According to Hotel Owners Association Mysuru President C Narayan Gowda ” ahead of the main event of lnternational Day of Yoga 2022 at Mysuru Palace on June 21 that will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there is a large influx of yoga practitioners and tourists in the city, an estimated 10,000 rooms are occupied at the hotels in the heart of the city and also outskirts. While 95 per cent of rooms are occupied at hotels in the heart of the city, 85 per cent occupancy is reported in the outskirts at outer ring roads and various localities”.
Apart from the prime ministers visit to the city, another prime reason is Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev’s Save Soil Campaign that has attracted people in large numbers towards the city. Besides, weekend tourists have made the city their itinerary with rooms occupied from June 18 to 20″.
