Mysuru: Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha on Monday denied any animosity between himself and Krishnaraja MLA S A Ramadass over taking credit for organising forthcoming International Day of Yoga in the city on June 21, which will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Answering to media queries a day after the cold war between the two hit the headlines on Monday, Simha who sought to clear the air said “it’s not a party programme, but of the government. The prime minister will perform Yogasana along with Governor, Chief Minister, Central Ayush Minister and District Incharge Minister on the main dais, while the remaining leaders and MLAs including myself will perform yoga on another side of main dais”.
Around 7,000 people are expected to perform in front of Mysuru Palace and overall 15,000 people shall be roped in for the D-Day, added Simha.
He also appealed to the organisations and individuals against installing flex boards to welcome Narendra Modi to the city. The government itself will erect welcome boards, said Simha against others making any such attempts that may disfigure the city.
