International Day Against Drug Abuse! City police destroy drugs worth Rs 22.48 lakh

Mysuru: Mysuru City Police Drug Disposal Committee disposed of 121 kg of ganja and other substances worth Rs 22.48 lakh on International Day Against Drug Abuse on Saturday.
According to a press release from Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta “The city police had seized 121 KG and 704 grams ganja in 62 cases and 15 kg and 870 grams of qat in one case.”
They were destroyed at the incinerator plant of M/s GIPS Bio-tech, Gujjegowdanapura, Jayapura hobli in the district.
DCP (crime and traffic) Geetha Prasanna also the chairperson of Drug Disposal Committee, committee member and ACP (CCB) Ashwathnarayan, CCRB Police Inspector Mohammed Irshad and other staff members were present.
