Injured tigress operated, released back into forest at Nagarahole

Mysuru: An injured tigress was successfully operated and released back at Nagarahole Tiger Reserve forest.

The tigress was reported injured and seen in tourism area two days back. The big cat was later identified with the help of Tiger Cell and with the approval of Chief Wildlife Warden (CWLW), Karnataka, the tiger was monitored for two days.

On Tuesday, with the help of kumki elephants, staff of Nagarahole Tiger Reserve and Veterinarian Dr Ramesh, the big cat was successfully operated and released back into the wild.

A team led by Harshakumar Director of Nagarahole Tiger Reserve Forest and Conservator of Forest, Kodagu, BNN Murthy, including ACF Rangaswamy, RFOs Siddaraju and Harshith were present.
