India’s billionaire investor Rakesh Jhunjunwala dies at 62

Mumbai: India’s top investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday.
According to sources, Jhunjhunwala was rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital at 6.45 AM in the morning, where he was declared dead. He was suffering from multiple health issues including kidney ailment and had been discharged from the hospital weeks ago.
Both a stockbroker, trader and chartered accountant and one of the richest men in the country, Jhunjhunwala was also the chairman of Hungama Media and Aptech, as well as a director of Viceroy Hotels, Concord Biotech, Provogue India and Geojit Financial Services.
Popular as India’s Warren Buffet, Jhunjhunwala had recently launched Akasa Air new airlines.
Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has also left behind the assets with a net worth about Rs 31,834 crore.
He is survived by his wife and stockist Rekha Jhunjhunwala, daughther Nishtha and twin sons Aryaman and Aryaveer.
