Mysuru: A cobra snake was rescued from a well near Bedara Kannappa temple in Srirampura second stage on Thursday.
Snake Suryakeerthi brought out the reptile safely, in a cliffhanger style. It is about three to 3.5 feet long.
According to Suryakeerthi “the snake had fallen into the well about 15 days ago. As the reptile didn’t show any signs of coming out of the well, the neighbours informed him.”
The well is about 35 feet deep, with water touching rock bottom.
Suryakeerthi with the help of his friends Shiv Kiran and Pradeep who helped him with safety gears used by rock climbers to ascend and descend, got down and brought out the snake, found in the gap of a wall inside the well.
Naturally, the people will be under the impression that snakes cannot be rescued in such circumstances. However, we are ready to rescue them in any conditions, said Suryakeerthi.
