IMA scam: BJP MPs meet Shah, demand CBI probe

2 min read

Mysuru: A delegation of BJP MPs from the State on Wednesday called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi only to demand for central bureau of investigation (CBI) probe into the I Monetary Advisory (IMA) Scam in Karnataka. The fraud is estimated worth Rs 5,000 crore.

The MPs led by Udupi- Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje submitted the memorandum to Shah. It has been succinctly conveyed in the memorandum that ‘ there is a necessity to probe whether the IMA founder Mohammad Mansoor Khan has links with terror organisations and if the money is being laundered to fund terror activities. Only the MHA will be able to fathom this mystery’.

Though the State Government has ordered a SIT probe into the case, it is merely a eye wash and nothing concrete and meaningful is expected to come out.

The main accused Khan used to display hundreds of pictures with prominent personalities like former chief minister Siddaramaiah, former ministers Roshan Baig and R Ramalinga Reddy, and present minister Zameer Ahmed Khan to lure the innocent public.

Now, the pictures of present chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and other politicians having dinner with them has gone viral on social media.

It is really heart rending to see thousands of men and women belonging to the minority community wailing and crying before media. They have lost their savings after investing in IMA.

Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha, Bengaluru South MP Tejaswi Surya, Central MP P C Mohan and Davangere MP G M Siddeshwara were present along with Shobha Karandlaje.
