Illegal stay! Two Bangladesh youths arrested near Mysuru

Mysuru: Nanjangud rural police have arrested two youths from Bangladesh on the charges of illegal stay.

The youths who were working at a factory in Tandavapura Industrial Area were residing at Immavu village in Nanjangud taluk.

The accused are Mohammed Abdulla, aged 27 years and Mohammed Habeebulla, 23 both from Sathkira district, Sam Nagar, Shirgul Ghati, Bangladesh.

The police team led by SI Satish who received a tip off about Urdu speaking youths in Immavu, on February 28, went to the village. Initially the accused claimed to be from Bengaluru but later spilled the beans that they are from Bangladesh.

The two were working in Bengaluru earlier, before shifting here a year ago. They were employed at Rishi Fabrics Private Limited in Tandia.

During investigation the duo failed to produce their passport and Visa and other documents.

A case has been booked under section 12 of Passport Act and Section 14 of Foreigners Act.

They were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

The police team included constables P V Mohan, Suresh, Venkatesh and Chandra.
