Mysuru: IGP (Southern Range) S Vipul Kumar on Thursday played a good samaritan by shifting an accident victim to a hospital.

The IGP was returning to the city from the chief minister’s duty at Male Mahadeshwara Hills, when a two-wheeler rider had fallen off from his motorcycle near the big banyan tree in Siddartha Nagar traffic police limits around 4 pm.

The rider identified as Rangaswamy, aged 53 years and a teacher was returning to his native Ayarahalli when the incident occurred.

The IGP who was passing through noticed that Rangaswamy was bleeding and nobody was coming to his help.

The IGP shifted the injured in his official vehicle to Cauvery Hospital. Later Rangaswamy’s son Bhaskar shifted his father to JSS hospital for further treatment.
