If Lokayukta were to exist, Siddaramaiah would have been in jail: Vishwanath

Mysuru: As the war of words between BJP and Congress over ’40 per cent commission’ shows no sign of subsiding, BJP MLC A H Vishwanth has added fuel to the fire.

Raking up several issues from the past, Vishwanath slammed Congress for percentage war, mainly targeting KPCC President D K Shivakumar and Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah.

Speaking to media in the backdrop of Congress protest against BJP government in Belagavi, Vishwanath alleged that “When D K Shivakumar was the Energy Minister he completed the process of Rs 7,000 crore worth tender for solar projects in three minutes. Honest Siddaramaiah the chief minister then approved it and how was this possible? questioned Siddaramaiah.

Siddaramaiah and then PWD Minister H C Mahadevappa were miffed over the differences that cropped up over the commission for Steel bridge works.
Siddaramaiah scrapped Lokayukta, but the same Lokayukta sent B S Yediyurappa to jail. If Lokayukta existed Siddaramaiah would have been behind the bars now, Vishwanath alleged.

Former speaker K R Ramesh Kumar acts  like a thinker and honest, but his recent remarks over rape has exposed his true colours. His overall nature came to be known at the Assembly yesterday, Vishwanath said.

In the election to Legislative Council  from Mysuru- Chamarajanagar local bodies constituency, BJP candidate R Raghu lost due to the conspiracy of few leaders. They worked like agents to JDS leaders, alleged Vishwanath.
