IETE, Mysuru centre hosts webinar on ‘Achieving energy efficiency in high data rate transmission techniques for 5G systems’

Mysuru: IETE Mysuru Centre recently organised 22nd international webinar on “Achieving energy efficiency in high data rate transmission techniques for 5G systems”.
Dr Paulo Montezuma Professor, New University of Lisbon, Portugal, highlighted the insight about the fifth-generation (5G) wireless network aims to reduce a trade-off between wireless network performance (sustaining the demand for top speed packet rates throughout busy traffic periods) and energy potency (EE) by alternating 5G base stations’ (BSs) shift off/on primarily based on the traffic instant load condition and, at identical time, guaranteeing network coverage for mobile subscribers by the
remaining active LTE BSs.
The particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm was wont to verify the optimum criteria of the active LTE BSs (transmission power, total antenna gain, spectrum/channel information measure, and signal-to-interference-noise ratio) that achieves maximum coverage for the complete space throughout the switch-off session of 5G BSs.
For wireless wireless networks (HetNets), space density with small cells and the use of large MIMO antenna components are great features for high data input, wide coverage, and energy efficiency (EE). However, ultra-dense deployment of small cells is considered to increase network management and increase power consumption on HetNets.
To date, this paper begins by identifying features that make power consumption one of the most challenging problems in wireless communication networks.
