Hunsur vokkaligara sangha distributes talent awards

Mysuru: Taluk Vokkaligara Sangha at Hunsur on Saturday distributed talent awards to the top students of the community, who have excelled in recent SSLC and PUC exams.
Adhichunchanagiri Mysuru branch mutt’s Sri Somanatha Swamiji said ‘ the community is known for agriculture and should continue with the traditional occupation to give food to the society. The mutt is also providing free education to the poor students with the only motto that nobody should be bereft of education’.
Mysuru and Kodagu MP Prathap Simha said ‘ We should tread on the advise of highly educated Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji. The students should derive inspiration from former chief ministers Kengal Hanumanthaiah and S M Krishna also from the community who have done memorable works’.
President of Hunsur Taluk Vokkaligara Sangha Manjunath, former ZP member C T Rajanna, Prasanna, P Venkatesh and others were present.
