Hunsur rural police seize ganja grown in banana plantation

Mysuru: Ten kg of ganja plants grown between Banana plantation at Bharathawadi village in Hunsur taluk was seized on Saturday.

Acting on a tip off, Hunsur rural police raided the plantation, where 29 ganja plants weighing 10 kg had been raised by the accused identified as Ramesh.

Ramesh had grown the ganja plants at Krishnegowda’s banana farm.

Under the direction of Hunsur DySP MN Raviprasad, Police inspector Chikkaswamy led team including head constable Naheem Ahmed and constables Srikanta and Naveen Kumar seized the plants.

A FIR has been filed against Ramesh under NDPS Act at Hunsur rural police station.
