House gutted in Mandya: Miraculous escape for mother, four children

The incident occurred at the house of Salman Pasha in the colony and the family members are currently in a state of panic.
Salman Pasha’s wife and children were sleeping at home in the afternoon. Salman Pasha had gone out to drink tea after the power supply went off at 2.30 pm. The power supply was restored shortly after and the wire connected to the ceiling fan caught fire due to short-circuit.
However, Pasha’s wife Nasiyabanu and children, who were sleeping in the house, were unaware. As the fire spread, they woke up from the smoke and ran outside screaming.
The people of the neighboring house immediately arrived and managed to douse the flames.
However, most of the articles in the house including papers, clothes, food and grains were destroyed.
Upon hearing the news, the fire brigade and Central Police Station personnel visited the spot and registered a case.
