Mysuru: After the revocation of Weekend Curfew, Hotel Owners Association, Mysuru has demanded the State Government to withdraw Night Curfew.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai should take a decision in this regard. The district minister should also impress upon the chief minister.
According to Association President C Narayan Gowda, who has questioned the rationale behind continuing with Night Curfew when there is a fall in Covid cases, the Night Curfew should have been withdrawn along with Weekend Curfew.
There is a misconception that the Covid cases will drop between 9 pm and 5 am. How fair it is to impose night Curfew when the buses, trains and flights are operated like earlier days. Even there is no restrictions on marriages and commercial activities. The marriage related rituals at wedding halls are going on unabated till midnight hours. So also the food is served.
However, the rules are applicable only for hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs, stated Gowda, questioning the veracity behind the strictures in existence still.
