Hit-and-run case! Accused driver nabbed in five hours

Mysuru: N R traffic police traced an accused in hit-and-run case within five hours of reporting the case.
Krishna, aged 33 years and a vehicle mechanic from Kutta in Virajpet is the accused person.
A jeep hit a two- wheeler near Government School for Blind on New Sayyaji Rao road at 7 am. The rider suffered injuries, but the four-wheeler fled from the spot.
The police checked the CCTV footage and identified the vehicle. They alerted policemen at other junctions. It was learnt later that vehicle was passing through Yelwal on Mysuru- Kodagu road.
Finally they succeeded in stopping the vehicle and arresting the driver.
Police team was led by Inspector R Diwaker and PSI K Raghu and consisted of policemen Somashekar and Kaleem Pasha.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of DCP (Crime and Traffic) B T Kavita and ACP ( Traffic) Sandesh.
