Heavy rainfall! Orange alert sounded in several districts of Karnataka

Bengaluru: Following heavy rainfall, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded orange alert in various districts in the State.
The orange alert has been sounded in Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Hassan, Ramanagar, Bengaluru, Chitradurga, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur, Chikkamagaluru, Tumakuru, Ballari and other districts.
The IMD has also prognasticated heavy rain accompanied by heavy wind especially for three days from May 18 to 21 in the State.
The deputy commissioners have been told to be on alert, according to the directions issued by IMD forecast.
