Heavy rain wreaks havoc! Ranganathittu bird sanctuary closed for tourists

Srirangapatna: Following heavy rain trees uprooted at Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary in Srirangapatna taluk in Mandya district forcing the authorities to close entry for the tourists.

It has been two days since has been playing a havoc in the region disrupting normal life. Walking path and boating point inside the sanctuary has witnessed damage die to the fall of trees.

DRFO Puttamadegowda told Mysoorunews.com “We are clearing the damaged areas and today also boating and tourist entry have been restricted. The tourists will be allowed only after the damages are restored”.
The tourists who are thronging the region in large numbers due to series of holidays are however left disappointed.
