Mysuru: Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel H D Kumaraswamy has criticized the state government, calling it “inhuman” and demanding that certain cases be handed over to a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
He also remarked on his limited political association with Waqf Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan, highlighting that their closeness is restrained by political boundaries.

On Friday, Kumaraswamy paid obeisance at the Goddess Sri Chamundeshwari temple at Chamundi Hill.
Following this, he addressed the media on issues related to the recently concluded Channapatna by-election and the remarks made by Zameer Ahmed Khan about his skin color.
Kumaraswamy recounted an incident involving Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti.
According to Kumaraswamy, this comment led to anger from Zameer Ahmed, who allegedly attempted an assault.
He remarked that such language reflects Zameer’s character and criticized both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister for supporting Zameer’s comments.
Kumaraswamy stated that, Zameer Ahmed had attempted to “buy the H D Devegowda family” using money and condemned the state government for their silence on this matter.
In response to accusations that he called Zameer Ahmed “Kulla” (a derogatory term in Kannada), Kumaraswamy denied this and pointed out that Zameer should remember who helped him to enter politics in the first place.
Commenting on the Channapatna by-election, Kumaraswamy claimed it was conducted smoothly and that people showed support.
Congress candidate C P Yogeeshwara also shared his thoughts on the election, noting that Zameer’s remarks did not significantly impact the outcome.
Confident about the results, Kumaraswamy asserted that his son Nikhil Kumaraswamy, the NDA candidate would secure victory in Channapatna bypoll.
