Mysuru: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy paid obeisance at Goddess Sri Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hill on Friday.

Prior to Janatha Jaladhare event at Nelamangala, Kumaraswamy came to the temple and offered puja to the deity.

Speaking to media persons, Kumaraswamy said “we are ready for the elections, as our aspirants are already active and what’s remaining is the announcement of candidates. We will pit a strong candidate in Chamundeshwari constituency in Mysuru”, Kumaraswmay added hinting at the high voltage battle ahead. (the constituency is currently represented by disgruntled JDS MLA G T Devegowda, who in all likelihood will join Congress soon).

Following the launch of Janatha Jaladhare, there is a good spell of rain across the state. It is a good sign and we also promise to fulfill irrigation projects in the State in a time bound manner, assured Kumaraswamy.
