Bengaluru: As anticipated Janata Dal ( Secular) and Congress coalition government in the State has failed to win the trust vote in the State legislative assembly, on Tuesday.

The government headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy that assumed charge on May 23, 2018, demited office exactly after 14 months.

With this BJP government headed most likely by B S Yeddyurappa is expected to stake claim to form the government.

As expected 99 MLAs voted in favour of the government and 105, all of BJP against the government. Of the total 225 MLAs, only 205 were present during the trust vote, with 20 staying away from the past several days.

The magic number was 103 and the government had to be content only with 99.
