Hassan district reports country’s first H3N2 virus death

Bengaluru: As reports of H3N2 virus cases slowly going up by the days in the country, a man infected with the H3N2 virus died in Hassan district. This is the country’s first victim of H3N2 virus. The deceased was admitted to Hassan Institute of Medical Sciences on February and died on March 1.
It is reported that the deceased was suffering from cough, fever and breathlessness. The authorities in the district have been informed to keep a watch in the district and people suffering from cold and cough have been advised not to self-medicate.
