Karnataka: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has remembered thespian actor Dr Rajkumar ( late) on Tuesday, a day in advance of the late actor’s birth anniversary that falls on April 24, only to be trolled on Twitter.
The twitteratis who have taken a severe exception to Kumaraswamy’s tweet on his official handle, have fulminated the latter for trying to reap political benefit on the day when the election to second phase of Lok Sabha election is on.
While some of the twitter users have liked and retweeted Kumaraswamy’s tweet, it has not gone down well with few, who have flayed the chief minister without any hedge.
They have also questioned the double standard of the chief minister who had cautioned the voters in Mandya against falling to the overtures of actors. ( It was made in the wake of actor Sumalatha Ambareesh contesting parliamentary elections as an independent candidate against his son Nikhil K).
Madhu Bangarappa the Congress supported JD( S) candidate in Shimoga parliamentary seat is a close relative of Rajkumar. Madhu’s elder sister Geeta is married to Rajkumar’s son and actor Shivarajkumar.
