Hakki Habba from Tuesday

Chamarajanagar: The three day ‘Hakki Habba’, a birding programme, will commence at Biligirirangana Hills on Tuesday.

Biligiri Ranganathaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve is hosting seventh edition of bird festival ‘Hakki Habba’ to promote ethical birding. As many as 50 persons from different states will attend the festival that concludes on January 7.

BRT is meeting point of Western Ghats and Eastern Ghats. It has very unique biodiversity and home for number of birds and also popular for birding. In previous, ‘Hakki Habba’ the volunteers had identified 250 plus bird species in BRT.

BRT DCF Santhosh Kumar gave information about Hakki Habba, said, Education Minister Suresh Kumar along with Forest Minister Anand Singh will inaugurate the festival at Morarji Desai Residential School in BR Hills.

Dr Dhananjai Mohan, Dr Samira Agnihotri, Dr Subramanya S, Sugandhi Gadadhar, Dr Prashanth NS, Dr R Ganesan and Dr Narasimhan will part of the event.
