GTD is an asset to JDS, a political gamechanger: Sa Ra Mahesh

Mysuru: Former minister and K R Nagar MLA Sa Ra Mahesh who is at loggerheads with his own party MLA G T Devegowda described the latter as “Our leader, who will take the leadership of the party in next elections”.

Speaking to media about recent the latest developments in the party, Mahesh stated that ” both Devegowda and his son (Harish) will contest elections from JDS. GTD is a biggest political gamechanger, who defeated the sitting chief minister in 2018 Assembly elections. So he is an asset to the party. Even former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and myself haven’t spoken about expelling anybody from the party”, said Mahesh.

“We need to expel those who misguide the party and help Congress and BJP. JDS leaders talk openly, as we don’t have the habit of hiding anything. It is our party mannerism”, said Mahesh.

GTD says about “Mysuru High command. Yes we will work under him. He was the first to call H D Devegowda and wish him after the latter became Rajya Sabha MP. GTD is aspiring from Hunsur and many other constituencies wherever he can contest”, he said.

“Meanwhile, I won’t change the constituency. My political career took off in K R Nagar and will end in the same segment. I won’t quit either JDS or K R Nagar till my last breath”, said Mahesh.
