GSSSIETW Graduation Day: Students must adopt moral values, says Aswathy Venugopal

Mysuru: The Graduation Day Ceremony for the BE and MTech students of 2022 passed out batch of GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru was held on Saturday (May 27) at M Govinda Rao Memorial Hall, GSSSIETW, Mysuru.

Aswathy Venugopal, Head of Campus Recruitment and Relations, Cognizant, India was the Chief Guest.

B V Srinivasa Gupta, Vice President, GSSS(R) Mysuru, GSSS(R), Mysuru declared the Opening of the Graduation Day Ceremony. Dr Rajendra R Patil, Professor and Head, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW, Mysuru welcomed the gathering. Dr P Raviraj, Professor, Department of CSE, GSSSIETW introduced the Chief Guest to the gathering.

Aswathy Venugopal, Head of Campus Recruitment and Relations, Cognizant, India spoke about the moral values to be adopted by the students, acknowledging the support rendered by the teachers, parents and other well wishers who have helped them in attaining the Degree and to reach their goals.

Aswathy advised the young minds not to under estimate their potential, instead they should believe in themselves to become successful in future endeavours. As India has got the youth power to transform the globe, she insisted the young engineers to be a part of the transformation by being passionate and making their dreams come true and reaching their destiny.

She also appreciated the contribution of the women fraternity being with supreme power.

Aswathy emphasized that students need to be committed to professional ethics and social responsibility. The students must cultivate positive thinking, high level of integrity and humanity to be successful in their career.

As technology has transformed our lives we should give equal importance to both Professional and Personal growth,To fulfil the professional aspiration towards the growth of nation.

She appreciated the core objective of GSSSIETW in providing value based quality education to the women.

The degree certificates were distributed to all the undergraduate and postgraduate students by the dignitaries, followed by oath taking ceremony by the passed out students. The oath was administered by Dr S Meenakshi Sundaram, Professor and Head, Department of CSE, GSSSIETW, Mysuru.

The event was presided by B V Srinivasa Gupta, Vice President, GSSS(R) Mysuru, who in his presidential address, advised the students to show gratitude towards their parents and teachers for their contribution.

He also said that the knowledge is supreme that will certainly make great changes in the career of students. He extended his best wishes to the students and blessed the passed out students to be successful in future endeavours and contribute to a greater extent as alumnae members to the institution.

Dr Gururaj K S, Professor and Head, Department of ISE, GSSSIETW proposed the vote of thanks.

Bharath R K., Member & CEO, GSSS (R), Anupama B Pandit, Administrative Officer, GSSS (R) and Dr Shivakumar M, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru were present during the Graduation Day Ceremony.

The event was coordinated by Dr S Padmashree, Professor, Department of ECE, Usharani J, Asst. Professor, Department of CSE and Smt. Nagashree R N, Asst. Professor, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW Mysuru. HODs of various departments and faculty members were present during the ceremony.
