GSSSIETW alumnae spread across world meet online

Mysuru: Alumnae Association of GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW), Mysuru had organised eighth GSSSIETW Alumnae Meet and second Global Meet online (Google Meet) on May 8.

A total number of 184 Alumnae from six departments (ECE-35, CSE-31, ISE-27, EEE- 36, EIE-16, TCE -36) across the world, starting from the 2007 to 2019 batches had been a part of this meet.

To mention a few places Switzerland, University of People- California, Stockholm and Toronto in Canada, Sweden, France, Nuremberg in Germany, Tucson Arizona in United States, Phoenix  AZ in USA, Darmstadt in Germany, Melbourne Victoria in Australia, Aberdeen Scotland in United Kingdom, Trivandrum, Jharkhand, Chennai, Lucknow, Bengaluru & Mysuru.

The event commenced by welcoming alumnae by Usha Rani j, Treasurer, GSSSIETW Alumnae Association & Assistant Professor, Dept. of CSE.

Dr Archana B, Secretary GSSSIETW Alumnae Association & Assistant Professor, Dept. of ECE  gave a presentation regarding the events organized  by the Alumnae Association for the academic year 2020-21 and thanked alumnae for their support in organizing various Technical sessions in their area of expertise and requested them to continue the same.

Principal Dr M Shivakumar addressed the Alumnae regarding the progress of the Institution, achievement of Institution Accreditation and advised Alumnae to be in touch with the college and be safe during this pandemic Covid-19 situation.  

Mahadeva Prasad S, Head – Training & Placement, addressed the Alumnae regarding the Placement statistics of GSSSIETW, Mysuru and listed out some of the top companies hiring the students On-Campus with good packages. He also requested the Alumnae to extend their support for Placement assistance.

Vanaja B Pandit, Hon. Secretary GSSS (R) gave the presidential address on this occasion and congratulated the Alumnae for their well deserved success in their domain of expertise and  appreciated their enthusiasm and zeal  for their participation in the Alumnae Meet-2021.

Madam shared the information regarding EPIROC Indian Scholarship of Rs nine lakh issued to the GSSSIETW students.

The session was followed by the Alumnae Interaction with their elcturers along with their introduction, current professional status and sharing experience. The alumnae introduced themselves, shared their personal experiences, and interacted with their Department lecturers, recalled their college days memories. 

They expressed their gratitude to the management of GSSS (R) for creating awareness towards higher studies and making them courageous to face the real world challenges globally as women.

Finally, the Session was concluded with a remarkable vote of thanks, thanking the Alumnae for sparing their valuable time to be in touch with their Parent organization and in making this on-line global meet a memorable get together, according to Mahanthesh U, Assistant Professor, Department of ECE, GSSSIETW Mysuru.
