Green friendly: Adamya Chethana opens Anantha Plate Bank in Mysuru

Mysuru: Anantha Plate Bank established by Adamya Chethana, a NGO headed by Tejaswini Ananthkumar, was inaugurated at Lakshmipuram in the city on Saturday.
Tejaswini wife of former Union Minister late H N Ananthkumar, has established the Plate Bank, as an extension of her Bengaluru centred NGO activities to Mysuru.

The idea behind this Bank is to cut down unabated using of plastic articles in programmes and functions and encourage the usage of steel plates, cups, spoons, bowls and other utensils.
The larger interest is to save environment to create a green friendly atmosphere, that is currently facing threat from single use plastic.
The service will be provided for free without charging any amount. Those who want to utilise the facility should deposit the advance amount, that would be refunded after returning the articles.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, former MLC Krishna Bhat, humourist Prof Krishnegowda, GSS Foundations G S Srihari, former Mayor Shivakumar, former Corporator M V Ramprasad, Murali of Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT) were present.
