Grand procession marks sixth year Hanuma Jayanti celebrations

Mysuru: The city witnessed a vibrant celebration, as the Mysuru Hanuma Jayanthothsava Samithi organised the Hanuma Jayanti for the sixth consecutive year at the Kote Anjaneya Swamy Temple near Mysore Palace North Gate.
The vehicles carrying the Hanuma statues were ceremoniously led by Adichunchanagiri Seer Someshwaranatha, MLAs T S Srivatsa and G T Devegowda, former MP Prathap Simha, Sriram Sene leader Sanjay and former MLA S R Mahesh.

The grand procession included various statues of Lord Hanuman, artistes dressed as Gods and Goddesses, accompanied by various cultural troupes.
The procession passed through the city’s iconic streets, with 20 vehicles carrying idols, through Ashoka Road, Irwin Road, Visvesvaraya Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road, K R Circle, D Devaraj Urs Road, Narayan Shastry Road and Chamaraja Double Road, culminating at the Gun House Circle.
The roads were decorated with saffron buntings, creating a festive atmosphere.
Police Commissioner Seema Latkar, DCP (Law and Order) M Muththuraju supervised the security arrangements.
