Grand procession marks Ambedkar Jayanti at Ashokapuram

Mysuru: A colourful procession was taken out as part of 132nd birth anniversary of Architect of Constitution Dr B R Ambedkar, from Ashokapuram in the city on Friday.
Tableaux of Dr B R Ambedkar with a copy of Constitution of India and various books authored by the visionary personality, flower bedecked Mantapa with the portrait of Ambedkar and caparisoned elephant with its trunk raised with the idol of Bhagavan Buddha, replica of Parliament building, were the major attractions.
Dodda Garadiya Pailwanara Balaga, Ashokapuram and Adi Karnataka Mahasamsthe, Ashokapuram and several other organisations had organised the procession, along with cultural troupes.
The blue flags bearing the pictures of Ambedkar were all over, adding colour to the procession.
