Grand launch of Gruha Lakshmi: Mysuru City police issue traffic restrictions on these roads

Mysuru: In view of the grand launch of the much-anticipated Gruha Lakshmi scheme in Mysuru where several Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi, AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are participating, the Mysuru police have issued several traffic restrictions.

In a press communique issued by Mysuru Police Commissioner B Ramesh, the commissioner said that the event is set to witness lakhs of women beneficiaries from Mysuru, Kodagu, Mandya and Chamarajanagar districts. Since this would put additional burden of vehicles on the City roads, traffic restrictions will be in place for the smooth movement of the vehicles, including KSRTC buses.

On August 30, from 8 am to 6 pm, KSRTC buses arriving in the city will have to take Hunsur route to reach KSRTC bus stand.

*Buses coming from Madikeri, Hunsur, Hassan to Mysuru will have to take Hunsur road, Hinkal flyover junction, take left turn, touch Ring Road, take right turn near Royal Inn Junction, take on KRS road, VV Puram Circle, Akashvani Circle, Dasappa Circle, take right turn and touch Metropole Circle, take MUDA Circle left turn, touch Ramavilasa, Banmaiah Junction, take right turn, B Rachaiah Circle, take left turn, touch Purandara Road, Kusti Akhada junction, Hardinge Circle and reach KSRTC bus stand.

*Buses taking Hunsur route from KSRTC bus stand will have to take Irwin road, Nehru Circle, Ayurvedic circle, Railway station Circle, Dasappa Circle, right turn, KRS Road, VV Puram circle, Royal Inn Junction, take left turn, Ring Road, Hinkal flyover junction, take right turn and connect to Hunsur road.

*Buses moving from KSRTC bus stand to Bengaluru will have to take left turn from the bus stand, Five Light Circle, Dr Rajkumar Circle, Tipu Circle, take right turn, Dandina Maramma temple junction, Kempegowda junction.

All other vehicles’ movement (excluding KSRTC buses deputed for the event) are restricted on the following routes on August 30 from 8 am to 6 pm.

* Vehicular movement has been restricted from DC court arch gate junction to court junction and also either sides of KRB road. Parking has been banned on these roads as well.

* From St Joseph Junction to Metropole Circle and also on either sides of Hunsur road.

*No vehicles will be allowed from MUDA junction to VMD junction and parking is also prohibited on this stretch.

*From Rotary junction to KRB road junction also on either sides of the road.

*From JLB junction to KRB road junction.

*From Kalamandira junction gate to railway junction gate. All vehicles have been banned on either sides of the road. Parking is also prohibited on these stretch.

*From Dr Padma Circle to Chandramouleshwara temple junction and parking is also restricted on the stretch.

*From Saraswathipuram 5th Cross junction (TTL College junction) to Bake Point. Vehicle movement on either sides of the stretch is also restricted.

* From Vijaya Bank circle to VMD Circle. No vehicles will be allowed on either stretch of the road.

Instead, vehicles will be allowed on alternative routes:

*Vehicles arriving in the City from Hassan, Madikeri and Hunsur, will have to take left turn at St Joseph Junction to reach temple road, B C Lingaiah Circle and go via KRS Road.

*Vehicles coming to the City from Hassan, Madikeri, Hunsur will have to take right turn at Chaduranga circle and move forward on Chaduranga Road.

*Vehicles coming to the city from ChamarajaDouble road will have to take RTO Circle and move.

*Vehicles going towards Hunsur will have to take JLB road, Dasappa circle, KRS road and go via VV Puram Circle.

*Vehicles coming from Bogadi road will have to take right turn at VMD junction and move forward.
