Mysuru: Guest lecturers under the banner of Government Industrial Training Institute Guest Lecturers Struggle Committee on Thursday staged a protest near Deputy Commissioner’s office in the city
They staged protest as part of the State- wide protest for fulfilment of various demands.
They raised slogans against state government for not considering the demands of guest lecturers. Though we took online classes, the government hasn’t released the salary of lockdown period of 2019-20 and 2020-21, the agitators said.
Guest lecturers are leading a life of difficulties amid Covid crises. Some of them have succumbed to the pandemic, but the government is yet to release compensation to their families, they alleged.
The guest lecturers demands include provision of at least 2/3rd pay of the faculty of professional courses and job security and health security.
