Goods trains from Mysuru to run 3000 km to deliver essential goods

Mysuru: To keep up the supply chain of essential commodities during the lockdown period, the railways is running its Goods trains and Parcel Express Trains. 

Mysuru division operated its first ever Parcel special express today (15.06.2020) from Nanjangud to Sankrail, West Bengal and Changasari in Assam. The special express comprises 10 high capacity parcel vans and carried 185 metric tonnes of product manufactured by Nestle India. The special trains runs on a fixed schedule and covers a distance of about 3000kms which will reach the destination on 17.06.2020 clocking an average speed of over 65kmps per hour.

Mysuru Division is adopting an aggressive marketing strategy to impress upon potential customers to make use of these services for quicker transportation of their goods and utilization of loading space optimally.
