Gomala encroached for pvt layout at Jayapura hobli! AC reminds MUDA Commissioner for report, seeks related records

1 min read

Mysuru: Following a complaint of developing a private residential layout after encroaching upon the gomala land (land reserved for grazing cattle) at survey number 69 at Yadahalli in Jayapura hobli, Assistant Commissioner of Mysuru sub- division has sought records from the commissioner of Mysuru Urban Development Authority ( MUDA).

The MUDA Commissioner has been directed to depute any staff or the concerned officer along with records to the AC’s office on June 15 afternoon.

Before that, complying with the orders of deputy commissioner dated June 4, measures should be taken to conduct a joint survey of the land along with MUDA officials and surveyors. The records related to sanctioned plan and allotment of land at taluk office should be verified along with the plan and a detailed report should be given.

This follows a complaint from social activist Gangaraj.

Gangaraj has alleged that the residential layout is being developed after converting the lands at survey number 69 and 72 at Yadahalli. However, gomala land at Survey 69 has been encroached upon and approval has been taken for the plan from MUDA after including this additional piece of land, which is a gomala land. Hence the authorities should reclaim the encroached land which is a government property.
