Golden Throne at Mysuru Palace to be assembled on Sept 20

Mysuru: In view of Sharannavaratri rituals practiced by the erstwhile royal family of Mysuru and other customs and traditions, Mysuru Palace will be closed for visitors on five different days between September 20 and October 20.

According to office of the executive officer, Mysore Palace Board, Mysore, it is stated as follows, as issued by Deputy Director T S Subramanya.

On September 20, religious rituals in connection with Sharannavaratri/ Dasara 2022 assembling the throne, the Palace will be closed from 10 AM to 1 PM.

On September 26, due to the religious rituals related to ascending the throne by royal scion, the Palace will be closed from 10 AM to 1.30 PM.

On October 4, from 10 AM to 2 PM, Palace will be closed on account of Ayudha Puja at Kalyanamantap.

On October 5 the palace will be closed for the whole day for visitors on account of Vijayadashami.

On October 20, Palace will be closed for visitors from 10 AM to 1 PM, for dissembling the throne and keeping it back in the throne room.
