Mysuru: The Golden Jubilee celebration of Sri Gurumalleshwara Dasoha branch mutt in Devalapura, Mysuru taluk, has been organised on March 25-26.
Seer Sri Jadeswamiji told the media persons about the golden jubilee celebration of the mutt, at Mysore District Journalists Association, on Friday.
Under the guidance of Seer Sri Mahanta Swamiji, Sri Gurumalleshwara Dasoha Mahasamsthana Math, Devanur, all the programmes connected with the golden jubilee celebration of Devanur Math will be
held.
The celebration includes the inauguration of Sri Gurumalleshwara Prayer Hall, the
statue of 12th century social reformer Basaveshwara riding a horse and the observation of 33rd death anniversary of Sri Shivappa Swamiji.
The two-day festivities will feature a flower palanquin festival, Rudrabhisheka, Shatsthala flag hoisting and Pada Puja.
A religious assembly will be presided over by Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji.
Additional highlights include the unveiling of Sri Gurumalleshwara’s portrait, a special book release and a colourful village procession.
Sri Jadeswamiji extended a heartfelt invitation to all the devotees to participate in the celebrations and pay tributes to the enduring legacy of Sri Gurumalleshwara.
