Goa CM Pramod Sawant takes part in 80th birthday fete of Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji in Mysuru

Mysuru: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant invited Avadhoota Datta Peeta Seer Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji to Goa.
On Thursday Goa Chief Minister Pramodh Sawant who visited Mysuru to take part in the 80th birthday celebrations of Sri Ganapathy Schidananda Seer at Sri Avadhoota Data Peeta, lauded the Swamiji for his enormous contributions in various fields.
Pramodh Sawant felt to be very blessed to be a part of the auspicious occasion of Swamiji’s birthday.
In his address, Sawant said “Swamiji has dedicated his life to Sri Datta Aradhana. I am fortunate to come from the land known for Sree Datta Temple at Sankhali, the constituency that I represent in Goan Assembly”.
Datta Guru is always surrounded by animals like dogs and cow the representatives of Vedas and the Earth. It is also known that Sri Dattatreya found 24 Gurus in nature from ant to elephant, this shows the harmony in worshipping the nature.
“We are blessed to have swamiji amidst us, whose work on the protection of environment, establishment of Shuka Vana – an aviary and a rehabilitation centre for birds is known. This aviary has 2100 plus more birds. Works such as this is very divine and will help the coming generations towards sustainability”.
Swamiji is renowned for his music therapy and is considered a divine guide who promotes the ancient Vedic traditions. This upasana of ‘Naad Brahma’ is a great service to the nation and will help cherish our musical legacy. Coming from the land of Gomantak which has produced many maestros of classical music. With the blessings of Swamiji we will work to promote this culturally rich identity of Goa.
“I also request swamiji to visit Datta temple in Goa, the sacred land blessed with many saints. We request Swamiji to bless Goa by his visit”, said Pramod Sawant.
He also released a special postal cover brought out to mark the occasion.
