Gang rape case! Perpetrators filmed act, blackmailed victim, friend for Rs three lakh

Mysuru: The city police who are probing the sensational gang rape case of a student have learnt that the perpetrators filmed the act and demanded for money.
The girl along with her boy friend had gone to a secluded spot near Tippayana Kere near the foothills of Chamundi on Tuesday evening, when a gang of five to six youths allegedly sexually assaulted the girl.
After video recording the act on a cellphone, they blackmailed the duo and demanded Rs three lakh from the victim and her boyfriend, sources told Mysoorunews.com.
They also spent some time demanding money. As the victim’s friend expressed their inability to arrange such a huge amount the accused assaulted him with stones on the head.
Later the accused snatched the mobile phones of both and fled from the spot.
Following this, police are tracing the mobile network with the help of technical investigation.
Meanwhile, the girls parents have arrived in the city, as the girl is recuperating at a hospital.
