Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji donates school van for tribal children

Mysuru: Avadhoota Datta Peetha Seer Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji on account of his 81st birthday celebrations donated Mahindra Supro van at Ashram premises on Sunday.

The Mahindra Supro valued at Rs.10.5 lakh was donated to Madilu Seva Trust, a NGO which works for the uplift of tribal children at Government HPS, Sonahalli, H D Kote Taluk, Mysore District.

This van is for transportation of tribal children from the haadis to the school.

The keys of the school van were symbolically handed over by Social Welfare and District Incharge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa and Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji to C K Muralidharan, Chairperson, Madilu Seva Trust NGO, Arasu Madilu, at Nada Mantapa, Sri Ganapathy Sachidananda Ashrama.

Founder Trustee, Madilu Seva Trust NGO, Amoolya Rao and Ashok Kapoor, Advisor were present.

Donations were also made to the persons recommended by Department of Empowerment of Differently Abled and senior citizens, Government of Karnataka.

Special chairs were given for 25 persons, standing frames for 13 children, rotator walker for six children, rexene beds for two adults, educational toys for 30 children and for senior citizens – foldable adjustable walkers were given for five persons.

Minister Mahadevappa lauded Swamiji’s helping nature during Covid-19 to the needy and also on regular times with donations to the poor and disabled children.
