1 min read

New Delhi: Mysuru and Kodagu MP Prathap Simha has apprised Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to consider the demand of Karnataka State Open University ( KSOU), Mysuru.

The KSOU has sought Rs 37.68 crore ( Rs 37, 68, 22,500) in its recent proposal submitted to the authorities concerned.

The varsity established in 1995, is a self- financed university and has not received funds either from the State or Central government till date.

To cope up with the challenges of the day like preparing study materials with update curriculum, audio visual facilities, use of ICT in imparting education, the varsity is forced to make a huge investment.

Simha was accompanied by Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers D V Sadananda Gowda during the meeting with HRD Minister.
