Siddaramaiah’s tweet in Kannada regarding Nalini Balakumar case.

Siddaramaiah used to practice as an advocate before he plunged into politics.

Nalini, a student of journalism was seen holding a placard ‘free Kashmir’ during a protest at Manasagangotri on January 8.
Rumours have been flying thick and fast that Siddaramaiah will file a petition in favour of Nalini.
However, Siddaramaiah clarified that he wasn’t taking up her case. But asserted that he would support if anyone comes forward to take her case.
Interestingly, the former chief minister tweeted that he has applied to revoke his licence to practice as an advocate that had been suspended earlier.
It may be recalled here that the Mysuru Bar Association had passed a resolution that its members would not take up her case. However, some members have defied the resolution.
