Former principal of SDMC, Ujire Yashovarma passes away

Mangaluru: Dr B Yashovarma (66), Secretary of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Education Society passed away on Sunday in Singapore.
Varma who was ailing for sometime was undergoing treatment at Singapore where he passed away.
A former Principal of SDM College Ujire, Varma had a PhD in Phycology. It was during his stint as Principal of SDMC Ujire, the college was accredited ‘A’ grade for three consecutive terms by NAAC. The college also got national award for Best College instituted by FJEI.
He had also served as President, Belthangady Taluk Kannada Sahitya Parishat and many more institutions and organizations like Rotary among others.
