Former PM H D Deve Gowda visits religious leader Syed Masan Shah Khadri in Channapatna

Channapatna: Former Prime Minister and JDS supremo H D Deve Gowda visited the residence of Syed Masan Shah Khadri, the religious leader at Aqil Shah Khadri Dargah, in Channapatna’s Peer Saab Galli on Sunday.
During his visit to Syed Masan Shah Khadri’s residence in Tippu Nagar, Channapatna, Deve Gowda sought support for his grandson, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, who is contesting in the by-election from Channapatna as NDA candidate.
Deve Gowda, who is camping in Channapatna for the past few days, is extensively campaigning for the victory of his grandson Nikhil, by touring various parts of the Constituency.
Nikhil is facing a tough fight from Congress candidate C P Yogeeshwara, a five time Channapatna MLA, who recently returned to Congress from BJP.
The by-election is on November 13 and the results will be announced on
23.
