Former minister M V Rajashekaran passes away

Bengaluru: Senior Congress leader M V Rajashekaran passed away during the early hours of Monday. He was 92.

Rajashekaran who was suffering from age related ailments, was admitted at a hospital, where he breathed his last.

A native of Maralavadi in Bengaluru, he had served as a union minister of State for planning in the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in 2004.

He had served as a Rajya Sabha member and MLC and was one among the senior leaders of the grand old party.

He leaves behind his wife Girija, two sons and two daughters.
