Mysuru: Former minister Priyank Kharge and former Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar condoled the death of Meerabai wife of MLC Dr D Thimmaiah, in the city on Monday.
Meerabai (70) who was ailing from sometime passed away at a private hospital in the city recently.
The two leaders visited the house of Thimmaiah at Ramakrishna Nagar and offered floral tributes to the portrait of Meerabai.
The family members of Dr Thimmaiah played a perfect host to the visiting dignitaries who had breakfast.
Congress national spokesperson Anshul Kumar son of Meira Kumar, Mysuru District Rural Congress Committee President Dr B J Vijaykumar, Congress leader C S Raghu and several other leaders were present.
