Former IPS officer Annamalai holds baton of Tamil Nadu State BJP

New Delhi:Former IPS officer K Annamalai has been appointed as State president of Tamil Nadu BJP.

Annamalai succeeds L Murugan who was recently sworn in as union minister.
BJP National president Jagat Prakash Nadda has issued the order on Thursday that comes into immediate effect, according to national general secretary Arun Singh who is also headquarter incharge.
Annamalai who took voluntary retirement as IPS officer in Karnataka in 2019, later joined BJP in August 2020.
He also contested the recent general elections to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from Aravakurichi constituency, but finished second.
