Former Corporator Rekha Kadiresh’s murder: Cops arrest two relatives, tally touches seven

Bengaluru: Cottonpet police investigating into the murder case of former BBMP Corporator Rekha Kadiresh have arrested two of her close relatives in the case.

Mala and her son Arul are those arrested, taking the tally of those arrested in the case to seven.

The police who had taken four more into custody including Mala and Arul for investigation, arrested two among them later.

Mala is the sister-in-law of the murdered Corporator and Arul the nephew.

They are arrested on the charges of instigating the prime accused in the case Surya and Peter to kill Rekha.

Mala is the older sister of late former Corporator Kadiresh who was also brutally murdered in 2018.

Mala who was sulking against her sister-in-law for ignoring her especially after her brother’s death, is accused of poisoning the mind of Peter.

Mala also was keen on usurping political power from the hands of Rekha who was a two-time Corporator.

The police have already arrested Surya, Peter, Stephen, Purushottam and Ajay in the case.
