Forest Mobile Squad of Mysuru arrests two for poaching cats

Mysuru: Forest Mobile Squad personnel of Mysuru arrested two persons and seized two wild cats and a civet cat, while on patrolling at Akki Hebbal in K R Pet taluk in Mandya district on October 27.
The accused are Ravi C S and Nagaraju. They were transporting the cats in a plastic sack, on a two-wheeler, after hunting them, with a motive of selling them.
A case has been booked against them under Wildlife Conservation Act, 1972 and have been produced before a Court.
The arrests were made under the guidance of DCF (Forest Mobile Squad) Chandrashekar Gowda C Patil.
The team included ACF G Rudresh, RFOs Sachin and Surendra K, DRFOs Muthuraju V and Mohan C S and Forest Guards Devaraj Bandivaddar, Kumar and Yogesh.
