Fed up of cellphone addiction, man murders wife

Srirangaptna: In Srirangapatna, a tragic incident unfolded as a man murdered his wife due to her addiction to mobile phone, to shoot reels and browse social media.
Pooja (26) is the deceased and the accused is her 33-year-old husband Srinath.
Disturbingly, Srinath’s actions didn’t stop there. With the help of his father-in-law, he disposed of Pooja’s body by tying it to a heavy boulder and casting it into Cauvery River.
After three days, Srinath, burdened by guilt, visited Nimishamba Temple and subsequently surrendered to the police, providing a detailed account of the murder.
Both Srinath and his father-in-law were arrested by Srirangapatna Police and are currently in judicial custody.
